Flowery Branch, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - With veteran wide receiver Roddy White out with a hamstring injury, the Atlanta Falcons have promoted wide receiver Darius Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster.
Johnson was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Southern Methodist following the 2013 NFL Draft. He led Atlanta with 13 catches for 158 yards and one touchdown during the preseason.
The 1-4 Falcons welcome the winless Buccaneers to town on Sunday.
