LIVERPOOL, England --
A disgruntled Everton fan confronted manager Roberto Martinez on the field after a 1-1 draw with Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.
Within eight second-half minutes, Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori scored and then missed a tackle that allowed Southampton striker Sadio Mane to equalize.
Discontent at Everton's underachievement has been growing at Goodison Park in recent weeks with Martinez the target of increasing criticism.
Eleventh-place Everton has not won at home in the league since early February and has managed just four victories at Goodison in the last year.
It was far from ideal preparation for a midweek Merseyside derby against Liverpool followed by Saturday's FA Cup semifinal against Manchester United.
Southampton, which remained seventh, could still qualify for the Europa League.
