Mike Smith scored 23 points as East Tennessee State cruised to a 62-42 win over Stetson on Monday night for its sixth straight victory.

The Hatters got out to an early lead and were up 14-11 with 8:07 in the first half when ETSU's Micah Williams dunked to begin a 19-0 Buccanees' run. Isiah Brown got another slam two minutes later to give ETSU its first lead, and the Buccaneers pulled away with the help of strong defense.

ETSU (10-7, 5-1 Atlantic Sun) shot 50 percent, scored 30 points in the paint and turned Stetson's 18 turnovers into 22 points. The Hatters hit 31.3 percent of their shots, scored 10 points in the paint and had just 12 points off 18 Buccaneers' turnovers.

Micah Williams added 19 points for the Buccaneers, and Brown grabbed 10 rebounds.

Corey Walden led Stetson (5-11, 3-3) with 13 points, and Aaron Graham added 12.
