Espanyol's Mattioni out six months

Barcelona, Spain – Espanyol's Brazilian defender/midfielder Felipe Mattioni will be sidelined for six months after suffering damage to his right anterior cruciate ligament.

Mattioni, 22, is set to have surgery in the next few days. The former Gremio player, who also enjoyed a loan spell at AC Milan, had just recovered from an injury to his left knee last season.
