The kid's gloves are now off for two star Chiefs defenders.
After slow buildups, both nose tackle Dontari Poe and safety Eric Berry have completely reintegrated into the team's starting lineup.
Poe saw 64 defensive snaps against the Bears. His injured back might be an issue all season, but that's a whopping 82 percent of defensive plays -- by far his highest total in 2015.
Berry has been tallying starter's snaps for a while now. And on Sunday against the Bears, the cancer survivor didn't miss a single down.
It all means the Chiefs defense has one less excuse to lean on if this season keeps spiraling. With Poe and Berry, their group is at full strength.
