Hamburg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Eintracht Frankfurt extended its unbeaten streak in Bundesliga play to a modest three matches on Sunday after the club earned a 2-1 victory over Hamburg at the Imtech Arena.
Coming off consecutive 2-2 draws against Schalke and Mainz, the visiting side opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime as Haris Seferovic gave his side the lead in the 44th minute.
Nicolai Mueller found the equalizer for Hamburg in the 58th minute and it appeared the match was headed for a draw, but Lucas Piazon came to the rescue for Eintracht, scoring in stoppage time to seal all three points for his side in dramatic fashion.
The win lifts Eintracht to nine points on the season, while Hamburg continues to struggle and is winless through five matches.
Also in the Bundesliga on Sunday, a penalty kick conversion from Paul Verhaegh in the 27th minute was enough to lift Augsburg to a 1-0 victory over Hertha Berlin at the SGL Arena.
