Jordan Dykstra scored 18 points, including eight points in the final 17 seconds, as South Dakota State edged Denver 74-73 on Thursday.

South Dakota State (11-10, 3-3 Summit League) used a late rally to win, as Dykstra hit a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left to bring the Jackrabbits within 71-69. After a Cody Larson steal, Dykstra hit another 3 with 14 seconds remaining to give the Jackrabbits a 72-71 lead.

Following a Denver turnover, Dykstra made two free throws with 3 seconds left to open a 74-71 advantage.

Bryant Rucker's basket for Denver (10-11, 3-3) was good with a second remaining, but the basket counted for two points because Rucker attempted the shot with his foot on the 3-point line.

Larson had 17 points and nine boards for the Jackrabbits. Chad White added 13 points.

Chris Udofia led Denver with 20 points. Brett Olson added 16.
