Patrick Donnelly passed for two touchdowns and the Brown defense dominated to help the Bears shut out Yale 20-0 in an Ivy League showdown Saturday.

Donnelly found Cody Taulbee for a 3-yard touchdown pass with five minutes left in the first quarter to put Brown (5-2, 2-3) on top 7-0. Donnelly finished 24 of 48 for 232 yards.

The Bears led at halftime 10-0.

Brown added a touchdown late in the third quarter when Donnelly found Jordan Evans for a 25-yard touchdown.

Though the points did not come often, that was all Brown needed as the Bears' defense dominated to secure the win.

Yale (2-6, 1-4) failed to move the ball effectively, totaling just 22 yards passing and zero first downs through the air for the game.

Brown's AJ Cruz intercepted two passes to bring his career total to 12, which is fourth best in school history.
