Dolphins acquire OT McKinnie from Ravens

Davie, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Dolphins have acquired offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for an undisclosed draft choice.

To make room for McKinnie on the active roster, Miami released linebacker Josh Kaddu.

"We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the Ravens for Bryant," said Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland. "He is a proven and experienced player who will be a great addition to the offensive line."

McKinnie, who was selected seventh overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2002 draft, signed with Baltimore as a free agent in 2011 and then resigned with the Ravens on May 2, 2013.

The 34-year-old McKinnie, who played in college for the Miami Hurricanes, has played in 169 career games (152 starts) with the Vikings and Ravens. He made the Pro Bowl in 2009.
