The Arizona Diamondbacks placed pitcher Josh Collmenter on the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Collmenter, who has been used as a starter and in relief this season, is dealing with ulcers. The right-hander has compiled a 4.24 ERA in 22 games -- nine starts.

Brad Bergesen, who made three relief appearances for the Diamondbacks in July and gave up one run over five innings, has been recalled from Triple-A Reno to take Collmenter's spot on the roster.
