Matt Derenbecker scored 17 points to lead New Orleans to a 101-38 victory over Champion Baptist College on Saturday.

Cory Dixon added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Tevin Broyles 10 points for the Privateers (2-4), who snapped a four-game losing streak.

New Orleans hit 43 of 75 shots for 57.3 percent, including 8 of 15 3-pointers for 53.3 percent. The Privateers outrebounded the Tigers 63-20.

The Privateers scored the first eight points of the game and were up 51-12 at halftime.

Champion Baptist College (1-11), an independent member of the Association of Christian College Athletics, was led by Tim Gillespie with 14 points. The Tigers shot only 24.6 percent on 14-of-57 shooting, making only 5 of 23 3-point attempts.

The Privateers were playing at home for the first time in 21 days.
