Madrid, Spain – Deportivo returned to La Liga with a 2-0 triumph over Osasuna as Riki and Nelson Oliveira scored goals in the second half.
Riki had a great opportunity to put Deportivo ahead before halftime, but he failed to convert from the penalty spot as he saw his effort strike the post.
However, Riki atoned for his miss shortly after the break by scoring from 18 yards with a well-struck shot that gave Osasuna goalkeeper Andres Fernandez no chance.
Deportivo created most of the scoring opportunities in the game, but the win wasn't secure until the final moments as Oliveira tallied a nice goal of his own from just outside the area.
