Denmark winger Dennis Rommedahl will likely miss the last match of Group B play on Sunday against Germany with a muscle injury, it was announced Thursday.

Rommedahl suffered the injury in the second half of a 3-2 loss to Portugal and limped off the pitch.

Denmark midfielder Niki Zimling also suffered a muscle injury in the game, but is expected to be available against Germany. He left the match after just 16 minutes.

"It's a question of time as they're muscle injuries, but it seems like Dennis Rommedahl is out of the game against Germany. We can focus on him again if we get through," Denmark coach Morten Olsen told UEFA.com. "With Niki Zimling the chances are better, but we probably won't know about him up until the minutes before kick-off."

Denmark is third in the group on three points, but would secure a place in the quarterfinals with a victory over Germany. The Germans lead the group with six points, and need a draw to guarantee a quarterfinal berth.

All four teams in Group B, including the two-loss Netherlands, can still reach the knockout stage. The Netherlands and Portugal also play Sunday.
