Elena Delle Donne scored 21 points and No. 16 Delaware took control in the second half to beat Drexel 60-49 on Sunday.

The Blue Hens (16-1, 7-0 Colonial Athletic Association), who never trailed after opening with a 10-0 run, won their sixth straight.

The country's leading scorer at 28.4 points per game, Delle Donne shot 9 of 14 and also had seven rebounds and three blocks. Akeema Richard added 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Lauren Carra and Danielle Parker scored 10 points apiece.

Kamile Nacickaite scored 12 points and Tyler Hale added 10 for Drexel (9-8, 5-2).

The Dragons cut the deficit to 36-33 on Hollie Mershon's 3-pointer with 12:58 remaining, but the Blue Hens went on a 13-4 run to regain control.

Vice President Joe Biden, a Delaware graduate, attended the game.
