The defending 3-meter springboard diving Olympic champion, Russia's Ilya Zakharov, will not retain his title at the 2016 Rio Games.
On Tuesday, Zakharov received a score of 0.0 during qualifying after one of the more embarassing dives you'll see this summer, as he failed to complete the last spin of his routine and faceplanted into the pool.
YIKES. While it certainly doesn't remedy the shame he is likely enduring, Zakharov can take solace in the fact that he's not the only diver to complete an absolutely terrible dive during this Olympics.
