Meryl Davis and Charlie White scored a 79.02 on their short dance program to take the lead at the Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Madison Chock and Evan Bates took second place with a 70.80, while Maia and Alex Shibutani sit in third with a score of 69.63.

The pairings of Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue, and Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt round out the top five with scores of 67.75 and 64.69, respectively.

The champion will be named on Saturday after each team's scores are added to the free dance portion of this competition on Saturday afternoon.
