Alex Mitola scored 16 points as Dartmouth blew past Jacksonville State 76-46 in a non-conference game on Saturday.

John Golden added 14 and Tyler Melville and Brandon McDonnell 12 points each for Dartmouth.

The Big Green built a 35-17 lead going into the break, while holding Jacksonville State (4-8) to just 23 percent shooting from the field. Dartmouth (4-4) hit 6 of 13 3-pointers in the first half and shot just under 50 percent.

Jacksonville's second half game plan went awry as Dartmouth continued to dominate the boards and bettered their shooting accuracy to 54 percent by game end.

Dartmouth, who entered the game having lost three straight, built a 29 point lead early in the second half, never allowing the Gamecocks the opportunity to get back into the game.

No Jacksonville player scored in double figures, but Nick Cook led the Gamecocks with eight points.
