Seattle, WA – John Danks continued his amazing turnaround on Saturday.
The left-hander matched his career-high with 10 strikeouts in a complete-game shutout as the Chicago White Sox stymied the Seattle Mariners, 3-0, in the middle installment of a three-game series at Safeco Field.
Danks (6-9), who scattered three hits and walked one, has won six of his last seven decisions after beginning the 2011 season 0-8.
Chicago has won four of six and remains seven games behind the Detroit Tigers in the American League Central.
Michael Pineda (9-8) was the hard-luck loser for Seattle after allowing two runs on three hits with one walk and eight strikeouts through six frames.
