Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin will be out indefinitely with a lower-body injure he suffered in Sunday's Heritage Classic against the Ottawa Senators.

Less than five minutes into the second period, Sedin was checked awkwardly into the boards by Ottawa defenseman Marc Methot. Sedin appeared to be holding his left hamstring before gingerly walking to the locker room.

Vancouver general manager Mike Gillis said on Tuesday that he was unsure when Sedin would be able to return to play.

The 33-year-old Sedin has 13 goals and 27 assists in 63 games this season.
