FC Dallas saw its winless streak reach 12 games on Wednesday as the club was held to a 1-1 draw by Toronto FC at FC Dallas Stadium.

The two sides entered the match on the bottom of their respective conferences, and after Dallas took the lead inside of five minutes, TFC responded just after the half-hour mark to equalize and extend its unbeaten streak to five games.

A quick start was just what Dallas needed after claiming only two points from its previous eight matches, and Jackson got the move started with a right-wing cross into the penalty area that was nodded down by Andrew Jacobson, allowing Zach Loyd to knife in front of a defender and beat goalkeeper Milos Kocic with a diving header.

Kocic had to be alert to keep out a flicked header from close range, but his team came back to equalize in the 31st minute.

A failed clearance got only as far as Eric Avila, who fired a shot toward the net that Danny Koevermans redirected past the prone Kevin Hartman.

Kocic came to the rescue again a few minutes later when Fabian Castillo worked his way into the penalty area and had his shot tipped onto the crossbar by the TFC netminder.

Three points would have been a benefit for either of the last-place sides, but the best chance came six minutes from time when Koevermans turned a header on goal that forced Hartman into a nice reaction save.
