Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs placed outfielder Ryan Sweeney on the 60-day disabled list with a hamstring injury Wednesday and selected the contract of outfielder Ryan Kalish from Triple-A Iowa.

Sweeney, who landed on the DL last week, finished the year hitting .251 with three homers and 20 RBI over 77 games.

The 26-year-old Kalish, meanwhile, was on Chicago's Opening Day Roster and batted .242 with three triples, four RBI and 11 runs scored before being sent down to Iowa on May 26.
