New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics' Jordan Crawford and Portland Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge were named the NBA's top players for the period ending Dec. 8.

Crawford led the Celtics to a 3-0 record with averages of 23.3 points, 6.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds. He connected on 12-of-23 shots from beyond the arc during the week, including a career-high six triples in a 114-73 win over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

Aldridge posted a double-double in points and rebounds in all four of Portland's games last week. He averaged 26.3 points, 12.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists overall.

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, Detroit's Andre Drummond and Brandon Jennings, Golden State's Stephen Curry, Indiana's Paul George, and Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.
