Free is still bothered by an ankle injury he sustained in the Cowboys' Dec. 14 win against the Philadelphia Eagles. He has not practiced at all since the injury, and veteran Jermey Parnell is expected to start in his absence.
Defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford did not practice Friday with an illness, and he's questionable for the postseason tilt.
Rookie linebacker Anthony Hitchens sprained his ankle in the season finale at Washington last week, and he is also listed as questionable after not participating in practice all week.
