Conor McGregor met with UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta and UFC president Dana White on Wednesday, and it sounds like the relationship has been repaired after the Irishman was pulled from UFC 200 for refusing to promote the card.
McGregor failed to travel to the United States in April to film a commercial and attend a press conference to promote the UFC 200 card, and his rematch with Nate Diaz in the main event, so he was yanked from the show completely.
McGregor hadn't met with the UFC until Wednesday, but now it appears the two sides are close on confirming his next bout inside the Octagon following a meeting of more than two hours in Los Angeles.
"I met with Dana and Mr. Fertitta, good conversation like it always is," McGregor told ESPN on Thursday. "We have a good relationship. It is what it is. It happens. This is the fight game. Sometimes emotions get into it but it's important to recognize that emotions have no place in business.
"So that's essentially what it was last night. We just set it aside. There's no place for emotions in this. We are doing beautiful things so let's continue. Let's fix it and continue."

McGregor says the relationship is about halfway back to where it was before, but overall it's "a good place."
"I'd say we're nice and in the middle. In a good place," McGregor said.
McGregor was asked if he's in a better spot now than he was 24 hours earlier.
"Yeah, of course," McGregor responded.
There's still no word on when McGregor will fight next, although sources have told FOX Sports that the current plan is still to pit him against Diaz at a card later this summer.
The most likely landing spot that has been mentioned is UFC 202 in August, but that's far from a done deal until both sides can agree to a date, location and matchup.
The UFC has made no formal statement about the meeting with McGregor since White and Fertitta flew into Los Angeles to meet with him, but based on an Instagram post after the dinner was finished, it appears everybody left happy.
