Coach Tim Corbin has been so focused on finally reaching Omaha for the Commodores' first College World Series appearance that he hasn't thought about what winning it all might mean to Vanderbilt.

Catcher Curt Casali doesn't want to look too far ahead either. But as a senior, he knows how important a national championship would be.

He says bringing that title to the smallest school in the mighty Southeastern Conference would be a huge accomplishment.

Vanderbilt is the SEC's only private university. The 2008 Music City Bowl trophy is revered as the football team's only bowl victory since 1955, and the only national championship by any Vandy team came from the women's bowling team in 2007.

A CWS title would be the crown jewel in that trophy case.
