Deflategate was a giant mess. As was the Ray Rice situation.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was hit with criticism for both of those incidents and deservedly so. However, as Colin Cowherd pointed out on Friday on "The Herd," NFL revenue is up. Concussions are down. TV ratings are through the roof.

What's more, the league went the entire month of September without having a player arrested. That's only the second time that's happened in the last nine years.

Doesn't Goodell deserve credit for that?
