Indianapolis has selected defensive tackle Montori Hughes in the 5th round of the NFL draft.

At 6-foot-4, 329 pounds, he provides a huge presence on a defensive line that has gotten significantly bigger since Chuck Pagano was hired as coach last season.

To get Hughes with the 139th overall selection, the Colts gave up a fourth round pick in 2014.

Hughes spent his first two seasons at Tennessee but was booted off the team after multiple off-the-field incidents, which included two suspensions. He transferred to Tennessee-Martin where he started 18 games over the past two seasons and made 72 tackles, had 15 tackles for loss, five sacks and two pass breakups.

Indy selected defensive end Bjoern Werner and offensive linemen Hugh Thornton and Khaled Holmes with their first three picks.
