The Indianapolis Colts released Jonathan Newsome on Monday.
Newsome, who was arrested on charges of marijuana possession last week, thanked head coach Chuck Pagano, general manager Ryan Grigson and owner Jim Irsay on Twitter.
The 2014 fifth-round pick played in 30 games, making three starts during his time in Indianapolis. The Colts also released Andy Studebaker.
