Cardiff, Wales – Undefeated Nathan Cleverly scored a unanimous decision over Tommy Karpency on Saturday at Motorpoint Arena, successfully defending his light heavyweight crown for the third time.
Cleverly (24-0) topped Karpency (21-3-1) by a 120-108 count on all three scorecards.
The 25-year-old Welshman recorded his first victory by unanimous decision since a December 2010 fight with Nadjib Mohammedi.
Karpency, a 26-year-old American, suffered his first loss since a May 2010 bout with Karo Murat.
