Damarcus Harrison scored 16 points as Clemson topped Louisiana State 64-61 on Monday in the fifth-place game of the Paradise Jam.

Clemson knocked down 7 of 8 free throws in the final 4 minutes and LSU's Jordan Mickey missed a 3-pointer in the closing seconds.

Clemson (3-2) went 2-1 in the tournament for the third time in three appearances.

Mickey had 18 points and 10 rebounds for LSU (3-2). Tim Quarterman added a career-high 16 points.

LSU opened the game 1-for-10 shooting as Clemson took an early 8-2 lead. But Mickey helped LSU crawl back into the game with 16 points in the first half, and the teams traded the lead six times before LSU went to halftime with a 31-30 lead.

The second half went back and forth as the teams exchanged the lead eight times and were tied on seven occasions.
