London, England – Chen Nan and Ma Zengyu each scored 15 points to power China to a 76-52 win over Angola in women's basketball.
All 12 players reached the scoring column for China, which turned a close game at the half into a rout with a big third-quarter run and improved to 3-0 in Group A.
Sonia Guadalupe scored 12 points and Luisa Tomas added 11 for Angola, which was coming off a 90-38 loss to the United States and has dropped each of its three games by more than 20 points.
Wednesday's game was close for the first half. China led by as many as eight in the second quarter, but Angola nearly took the lead heading to the break. A three-pointer by Ma just before the buzzer sent China to the intermission with a 33-31 edge.
China then opened the third quarter with 10 straight points as part of an 18-2 run and Angola never recovered.
