The Kansas City Chiefs have placed defensive end Glenn Dorsey on injured reserve with a calf injury and added defensive back Neiko Thorpe to the 53-man roster.

Dorsey played in just four games this season. He injured his left calf in practice in September and missed four games, then injured his right calf during a 31-13 loss to the Chargers on Nov. 1. The former first-round draft pick finishes the season with seven tackles and no sacks.

Thorpe made the Chiefs this summer after signing with the club as an undrafted rookie free agent. He played on special teams during a 9-6 loss to the Ravens last month, and was on the practice squad when he was promoted before Kansas City faced the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.
