Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard picked up a calf injury in the Champions League on Tuesday and will be sidelined for a "few weeks," coach Roberto Di Matteo said Friday.

Lampard was injured in the 2-1 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk, and will now miss the home matches against Manchester United in league play Sunday and in the League Cup on Wednesday.

"Frank is going to be out for a few weeks. He's got a calf problem, so we will miss him and it's a big loss for us," Di Matteo said.

Lampard has three goals in seven league appearances this season.
