The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced on Thursday that the school has hired Jim Foster as the next women's basketball head coach.

Foster, a longtime women's college basketball coach and 2013 Women's Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, becomes just the fifth leader of the Lady Mocs in program history.

Foster has amassed a career record of 783-307, good for 11th in NCAA history.

The 64-year-old recently completed his 11th season at Ohio State, after the school fired him following an 18-13 campaign. He also has coaching experience at Vanderbilt (1991-2002) and St. Joseph's (Pa.) (1978-91) and joins Rutgers women's coach C. Vivian Stringer as the only men's or women's basketball colligate coaches to win at least 200 games at three different schools.
