Tina Charles and Renee Montgomery each scored 16 points to help the Connecticut Sun beat the Washington Mystics 82-75 on Saturday night.

Connecticut (15-8) held Washington scoreless for a 5-minute stretch in the fourth quarter.

Danielle McCray added 12 points for the Sun, and Kara Lawson had 10, including a late 3-pointer that gave Connecticut an 81-73 lead. Tan White had nine points and 10 rebounds.

Crystal Langhorne led the Mystics (5-16) with 17 points despite battling foul trouble. Langhorne missed all but 24 seconds of the third period when she was whistled for her fourth foul.

Matee Ajavon and Marisa Coleman had 14 points apiece for Washington and DeMya Walker, cut by Connecticut earlier this season, had 12.
