Chargers sign top draft pick Jason Verrett to 4-year contract

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Chargers have signed first-round draft pick Jason Verrett to a four-year contract.

With Thursday's announcement, all six draft picks are under contract.

Verrett, a cornerback from TCU, was taken with the 25th pick.

Last year, he had 39 tackles, 14 pass deflections, two interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble.
