NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) Jacob Dolegala scored his third touchdown of the game with 1:42 remaining and Central Connecticut State won its first game of the season with a 21-14 victory over Bowie State on Saturday night.
Dolegala scored all three touchdowns for the Blue Devils (1-2) with the first two of 7 and 2 yards coming in the second quarter for a 14-0 lead.
Dolegala's third touchdown capped a 15-play, 77-yard drive. He was 16-of-31 passing for 168 yards and an interception.
Matthew Goggans threw to Nyme Manns for a 55-yard score to get the Division II Bulldogs (2-1) within 14-7 at halftime. Another Goggans touchdown pass, 11 yards to Brandon Britton, tied the game with 5:12 left in the third quarter.
Goggans set a school record for pass attempts with 68, completing 34 for 373 yards. Mann set school records for receptions (12) and receiving yards (194).
