Cavaliers All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second straight game with a hyperextended right knee.

Irving needs rest and the Cavs will sit their top scorer and playmaker for Wednesday night's game against Toronto. Irving also sat out Tuesday's game in Chicago and the Cavs won without Irving, snapping an 11-game losing streak against the Bulls.

Irving banged knees with one of his teammates in practice last week. He played in two road games against Orlando and Miami, but lacked his usual quickness and said the knee was bothering him.

The 20-year-old is having another strong season after being named the NBA's Rookie of the Year in 2012.
