Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals signed defensive tackle Bruce Gaston on Wednesday.
Gaston was on Miami's practice squad. He spent the preseason with the Cardinals after signing with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Purdue.
The Cardinals released Gaston in their final roster cut on Aug. 30 and he was claimed off waivers by the Patriots. Gaston was then released by New England on Sept. 3 and claimed by Miami, where he was inactive for the first two games of the season. He was released by Miami on Sept. 20 and re-signed to their practice squad.
While at Purdue, Gaston set career highs with 48 tackles (31 solo), seven tackles for loss, and three sacks while playing in all 12 games as a senior in 2013.
To make room for Gaston, the Cardinals released running back Jalen Parmele.
