Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals signed veteran tight end John Carlson to a two-year contract on Friday.

The move came only two days after Carlson was jettisoned by the rebuilding Minnesota Vikings after just two seasons.

Carlson caught 32 passes for 344 yards and one touchdown in 13 games last season, but finished the year on injured reserve because of a concussion he suffered in Week 14 against the Ravens.

In 2012, Carlson had just eight catches for 43 yards over 14 contests.

The Notre Dame product has 177 receptions for 1,906 yards and 14 TDs in 74 career games with Seattle and Minnesota since 2008.
