The Nashville Predators have traded the rights to left wing Taylor Stefishen to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a conditional seventh-round selection in the 2013 Entry Draft.

Washington will transfer its own seventh-round selection in 2013 if Stefishen appears on the Capitals' reserve list as a signed NHL contracted player for one day or more during the 2011-12 or 2012-13 League years.

Stefishen, a fifth-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft, played this past season for Prince George of the Western Hockey League, totaling 24 goals and 67 points in 68 games. He previously played two seasons for Ohio State University.
