The senior running back carried 24 times for 111 yards and caught four passes for 33 yards. Jordan Brown rushed for 182 yards on 22 carries for the Bulldogs (3-0).

Four of Canfora's touchdowns came in the first half, helping Bryant build a 27-6 lead midway through the second quarter over the Division II Warriors (0-2).

James Suozzo's second touchdown pass of the half and his 3-yard scoring run brought Merrimack back within 27-21 at halftime.

Croce's 10-yard pass to Matt Tracey gave the Bulldogs a 33-21 lead. On their next possession, Canfora ran 4 yards for his final touchdown, but Merrimack's Artis Holt intercepted the 2-point conversion attempt and ran it back all the way to make it 39-23.
