Cameron Naylor scored 18 points and hauled in a season-high 16 rebounds to lead Texas State to a 68-39 win over Division III Howard Payne on Sunday.

Trailing 14-9 midway through the first period, Texas State (3-1) broke away with a 23-4 run sparked by back-to-back layups from Naylor and 3-pointers from Ethan Montalvo and Victor Bermudez to take a 32-18 advantage into the break. The margin never fell below double figures as the Bobcats continued to pull away in the second half.

Naylor also dished out three assists and had a steal, while Ed Seay contributed 10 points and Kavin Gilder-Tilbury had nine for the Bobcats, who went 26 of 54 from the field but hit just 3 of 14 from long range.

Howard Payne had no players in double figures, but Ty Davis had seven points and seven rebounds.
