Stephon Carter scored 20 points and Cal State Bakersfield recorded its highest point total since becoming a Division I school, defeating Pacifica University 114-66 Saturday night.

The 114 points was the second-highest ever for Bakersfield, trailing only the 118 it scored against the University of La Verne on Dec. 23, 1995 when it was a Division II school. Its previous high as a D-I university was 98 against Loyola Marymount on Jan. 7, 2008.

The Roadrunners (13-16) had seven other players in double figures: Corey Hall (17), Adam Young (14), Brandon Barnes (12), Tyrone White (11), Javante Maynor (11), Kregg Jones (10) and Britton Williams (10).

Pacifica (0-16), an upstart intercollegiate athletics program that is not affiliated with any association, had just six players. Adam Tolbert led the Gladiators with 30 points.

Bakersfield was ahead 61-34 at halftime and led by as many as 51 in the second half.
