Voros, who was currently in the American Hockey League with the Syracuse Crunch, played 12 games with Anaheim this season, failing to register a point and racking up 43 penalty minutes.
In 162 career NHL games with Minnesota, the New York Rangers and Anaheim, the rugged Voros has 18 goals, 37 points and 395 penalty minutes.
It was the third trade this month made by Toronto (23-27-6) general manager Brian Burke, including another deal with Anaheim (32-21-4) in which he sent veteran defenseman Francois Beauchemin to the Ducks, where he won the Stanley Cup in 2007, for forward Joffrey Lupul and prospect Jake Gardiner.
