Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - What's hotter in baseball, Mark Buehrle's arm or Edwin Encarnacion's bat?

Buerhle became the first MLB pitcher to reach 10 wins this season, while Encarnacion smacked a two-run homer and the Toronto Blue Jays blanked the Kansas City Royals, 4-0, in the finale of a four-game set.

Buehrle (10-1) scattered six hits and walked one over eight strong innings, lowering his ERA to 2.10 for Toronto, which has won 11 of its last 13 games.

"He was as good as he's been all year," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said.

Fresh off the month of May where Encarnacion belted a team-record 16 homers, he began the month of June by lacing his 19th blast of the year over the wall in left-center in the eighth to stake the Blue Jays to a 4-0 lead. He went 2- for-3.

Dioner Navarro added a solo shot in the triumph.

Jeremy Guthrie (2-5) allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks over seven frames for the Royals, who have dropped six of their last eight tilts.

The Blue Jays plated a run in the second and fourth for their first two runs.

Navarro cracked a one-out solo shot in the second that just crept over the wall in right-center to open the scoring.

Juan Francisco doubled and Brett Lawrie singled to begin the fourth to put runners on first and third. After Navarro struck out, Francisco came home after Anthony Gose's grounder rolled to shortstop to make it 2-0.

The Royals squandered a pair of leadoff doubles in the third and sixth innings.

Following Alcides Escobar's two-bagger to center in the third, he got caught in a rundown when Nori Aoki bounced one to Lawrie at second. Without hesitation, Lawrie immediately threw to third and Escobar was in no man's land.

It was Hosmer's turn to get caught at third in the sixth. After he laced a double into center to lead off the frame, he tried to advance to third on Billy Butler's grounder to Jose Reyes at shortstop.

"Reyes did a great job of ranging over and the only play he had was at third," Royals manager Ned Yost said of the play.
