Buckeyes' three suspended players reinstated by NCAA

The three Ohio State players suspended for the season's first two games have been reinstated by the NCAA and will be eligible to compete once they each repay $200 to charity.

The violations occurred when junior running back Jordan Hall, sophomore defensive back Corey Brown, and junior defensive back Travis Howard each accepted impermissible benefits of $200 at a charity event earlier this year.

"The university appreciates the NCAA's expeditious response in reinstating these three student athletes," said Gene Smith, Ohio State's director of athletics.

The trio missed a 42-0 season-opening drubbing of Akron and a 27-22 comeback victory over Toledo this past weekend.

The Buckeyes play at Miami on Saturday.
