Buckeyes' three suspended players reinstated by NCAA
Columbus, OH – The three Ohio State players suspended for the season's first two games have been reinstated by the NCAA and will be eligible to compete once they each repay $200 to charity.
The violations occurred when junior running back Jordan Hall, sophomore defensive back Corey Brown, and junior defensive back Travis Howard each accepted impermissible benefits of $200 at a charity event earlier this year.
"The university appreciates the NCAA's expeditious response in reinstating these three student athletes," said Gene Smith, Ohio State's director of athletics.
The trio missed a 42-0 season-opening drubbing of Akron and a 27-22 comeback victory over Toledo this past weekend.
The Buckeyes play at Miami on Saturday.
