Buckeyes still without three suspended players
Columbus, OH – Ohio State suspended three players for last week's season opener against Akron as a result of rules violations, and the NCAA has not yet completed the reinstatement process.
Junior running back Jordan Hall, sophomore defensive back Corey Brown, and junior defensive back Travis Howard each accepted impermissible benefits of $300 or less at a charity event earlier this year.
The trio missed a 42-0 drubbing of Akron last week and will also be sidelined for Saturday's tilt against Toledo.
The school did not have a timetable as to when the players may be reinstated.
The suspensions come several months after Ohio State vacated wins from the 2010 season as part of self-imposed sanctions stemming from the NCAA investigation surrounding rules violations within the football program.
