Boston, MA – The Boston Bruins signed forward Tyler Seguin to a six-year contract extension on Tuesday.
The deal is worth an average of $5.75 million annually.
Seguin had 29 goals and 38 assists in 81 games with the Bruins last season. He added two goals and one assist in seven playoff contests.
The 20-year-old played in 74 games in his rookie season in 2010-11, recording 11 goals and 11 assists. Seguin added three goals and four assists in 13 games during the postseason while helping the Bruins win the Stanley Cup.
Seguin was the second overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
