Brooks scores 20 to lead Davidson past Georgia Southern 83-48 to extend winning streak to 14
DAVIDSON, N.C. – De'Mon Brooks scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures as Davidson trounced Georgia Southern 83-48 in a Southern Conference game on Saturday.
Jake Cohen had 15 points, Tyler Kalinowski 12 and JP Kuhlman 10 for the Wildcats (23-7, 17-1), who ended the regular season with a 14-game winning streak while dominating the South Division.
C.J. Reed scored 16 points and Tre Bussey had 11 for the Eagles (13-19, 7-11).
Davidson, which hasn't lost since Georgia Southern beat them 70-57 in Statesboro on Jan. 14, shot 56.4 percent (31 of 55) and held Georgia Southern to 29.8 percent (14 of 47).
The Wildcats led 18-4 on Brooks' layup midway through the first half en route to a 45-19 halftime lead, capped by Chris Czerapowicz's 3-pointer with 1 second left. The Wildcats extended the advantage to 38 points, at 79-41 with 3:42 left.
